"There were so many near-identical gelato shops around that it was very hard to choose the one that I thought would be the best. The slightly larger flavour selection and the different options for special cups made this place looked promising, and I think I made a good decision. I got an Eierlikör Becker, which consisted of 3 scoops of your choice (the scoops were thankfully relatively small) with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a biscuit, topped with eierlikör-flavoured syrup. I’m sometimes turned off by flavoured syrups but this one was actually very good - the taste of liqueur was so convincing that I almost thought I’d actually gotten something with alcohol. The gelato itself was also good! I opted for Malaga/rum raisin and hazelnut gelato and both flavours were relatively mild but pleasant (not artificially concentrated), and the gelato was very creamy. It was €7,50 which seems a little overpriced, but while I didn’t look at the prices at the other gelato shops, this does seem in line with food prices in general around the market square."
